Since commencing as a Workplace Relations Advisor at Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors (ABLA) in July 2020, William has honed his skills in providing simple and practical advice on employment law and workplace relations issues to businesses of all sizes.
William has particular interest in various employment and workplaces relations matters, including:
- Modern award interpretation
- Contract and policy review
- Employee statutory entitlements
- Disciplinary matters, including termination
- Redundancies.
In addition to his current role, William volunteered in the Supreme Court Bail Team at Aboriginal Legal Services, where he assisted lawyers in bail applications and supported clients in vulnerable situations.
Assisting clients through complex workplace challenges and identifying effective and creative solutions is what William enjoys about his role as a Workplace Relations Advisors. With his sights set on becoming a lawyer in Australia, William is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor. His experience dealing with clients at the coalface and assisting them over the phone with navigating their legal challenges will be invaluable in his future career pursuits.
