Peter is based in ABLA's Melbourne office.
He is a relationship-centric practitioner with a keen awareness and genuine interest in understanding the complex legal and cultural dynamics that exist between employees and employers. Through his practice, Peter works with businesses daily to assist them in navigating the rapidly changing and dynamic world of workplace and industrial relations.
Peter provides clients with legal advice at every stage of the employment cycle and has experience in appearing before the Fair Work Commission, Federal Court, Australian Human Rights Commission and State-based tribunals.
Peter assists on various matters including:
- Unfair dismissal and general protections applications
- Bullying and discrimination applications
- Performance management
- Terminations of employment
- Redundancies
- Drafting and reviewing contracts of employment and policies
- Managing injured employees on workers compensation
- Flexible working arrangements.
Prior to joining ABLA, Peter was a solicitor at a general practice firm where he primarily focused on commercial, property, and employment law. This experience has helped him develop a skillset where he assesses issues from a holistic and comprehensive point of view.
Peter attended Monash University where he obtained his Juris Doctor (Master of Laws) and Bachelor of Arts with double majors in Politics and International Relations. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and is admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia.
Peter is fluent in Greek.
