Experience

Based in Sydney, Swetha has experience in various areas of employment law, such as work, health and safety, psychosocial hazards, workers compensation and modern slavery. She has experience dealing with:

  • Advising on compliance relating to work, health and safety considerations;
  • Conducting risk assessments to determine standards of modern slavery obligations; 
  • Drafting contracts of employment;
  • Commercial litigation; 
  • Conducting investigations in relation to workplace incidents; and 
  • Modern Award Interpretation. 

Prior to joining ABLA, Swetha worked in other areas of law including personal injury, consumer law litigation and knowledge (precedents) management.   

Swetha has a Bachelor of Laws with a Bachelor of Media majoring in Narrative Journalism and Non-Fiction Writing from Macquarie University. She obtained her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law, before being admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner in May 2024.
