Nigel Ward is one of Australia’s leading industrial advocates, practitioner in employee and industrial relations and an accomplished executive specialising in the field of human resources management and WHS.
In his earlier career Nigel was the lead employer advocate in NSW industrial Test Cases and State Wage Cases managing the then Employers' Federation of NSW industrial/legal group. Nigel gained a deep experience providing industrial/employment advice and representation to a broad variety of industry sectors.
Nigel operated his own successful consultancy practice for nine years developing further expertise working with clients through complex M&A, major business re-organisation and workplace cultural change programs.
As CEO and Director of ABLA, Nigel plays a lead role in advising and representing leading Australian companies and employer groups.
As one of Australia’s leading enterprise bargaining advocates and practitioners, Nigel has been at the forefront of modern negotiations since the late 1980s. This in-depth experience has given him a holistic understanding of workplace strategy, bargaining tactics and law. Nigel was the first to test the new multi-employer bargaining laws in Australia in 2024.
