Kate is based in our Melbourne office and where she enjoys assisting employers navigate their compliance obligations.

Kate advises on a broad range of employment and workplace matters, including:
•    Modern award interpretation and compliance
•    Managing ill or injured employees
•    Responding to unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims
•    Preparing and reviewing contracts of employment and workplace policies
•    Disciplinary matters, including termination of employment
•    Restructuring and redundancy processes
•    Restraints of trade.

Prior to joining ABLA, Kate was a solicitor at a general practice firm, where she primarily advised on commercial, discrimination and employment law matters. This experience has given Kate a well-rounded perspective and enables her to approach matters in a considered and practical manner.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Economics) and a Bachelor of Laws with a Diploma of Legal Practice. She was admitted as a solicitor to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria.
